Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance, but we accept FSA and HSA payments.
We can also provide a superbill upon request.
What can I expect during a massage therapy session?
For first-time clients, the session will start with a verbal intake and a brief physical assessment. This helps us understand the your goals and informs the session plan.
Sessions are typically done clothed, unless scraping or cupping services are requested. Please wear something comfortable or athletic.
The massage itself is slow and precise with light to medium pressure. Most people report feeling looser, having increased range of motion, and having decreased levels of pain.
After the massage, the therapist will provide exercises, stretches, or self-massage techniques for you to practice at home.
Will it hurt?
It depends. The intensity can range from gentle to challenging, but we always strive to work within your threshold of pain tolerance. If the pain is ever too much to manage, please speak up and the therapist will adjust their touch accordingly. Generally, the massage should feel relaxing and therapeutic.
How many sessions will it take to heal?
It depends on the complexity of each case. There can be secondary or tertiary causes of issues, which take investigation to discover.
Long-standing issues don't develop suddenly, and the process of reversing them is equally gradual. We recommend starting with a few sessions to build momentum for the treatment. After each session, we will reassess your condition to determine whether another session is needed.
